Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a Christian, stay-at-home, homeschooling, holistic mama of four!  I have been married to my hardworking husband for 10 years and we live in Lexington, North Carolina. When I'm not chasing my toddlers or working on jewelry orders, you can usually find me crafting or binge watching Call the Midwife!  My family enjoys traveling and going to concerts together! 

I have had a passion for breastfeeding since I had my first baby in 2018! My breastfeeding journey got off to a rough start due to a lack of knowledge and a lack of support. Turns out, our son had a moderate tongue tie which made his latch poor and caused him to swallow a lot of air. He had a lot of trouble sleeping due to his tongue tie and it was rough for the first 10 months. I have since learned a lot and have now been breastfeeding for over 5 years! I discovered breastmilk jewelry after I had my first son and I remember thinking it was amazing that you can make jewelry and other keepsakes from breastmilk! 

In August of 2023, I established my doula business: Bee & Blossom Doula. I decided to offer breastmilk and memorial jewelry as part of my doula business! Unfortunately, I have had to take a step back from birthwork for now while I am breastfeeding. I hope to return in about a year if i can secure reliable childcare for my four kiddos!

I have heard several other mamas say they couldn't afford to have a breastmilk jewelry piece made and it completely broke my heart! My mission with Bee & Blossom Keepsakes is to keep my prices as affordable as possible so every mama can have a special piece to celebrate her breastfeeding journey!
