What is breastmilk jewelry?

Breastmilk jewelry is exactly what it sounds like--jewelry made from breastmilk! Your milk will be sterilized, preserved and mixed with resin to create your one-of-a-kind piece/s!
How does it work?

Breastmilk jewelry creation involves several steps, the first of which is to preserve your milk by converting it to a powder form! Once I have your milk preserved into a powder, I will mix it with resin to create your piece! The preservation formula I use has been thoroughly tested and ensures that your milk will not spoil or get moldy within your piece!
Do you offer any kind of guarantee?

Bee & Blossom Keepsakes offers a 90-day guarantee. 

During this time, if you have any issues with your jewelry, please reach out and I will be happy to correct the issue or replace your jewelry at no cost to you!

After 90 days, Bee & Blossom Keepsakes offers a lifetime replacement guarantee. 

If you have any problems with your jewelry after 90 days (gold plating wears off, stone falls out etc), I will gladly replace the inclusions stone/ setting or both for a set fee.  

  • $20 - replace inclusion stone only
  • $50 - replace setting only (for pieces under $100)
  • $60 - replace setting only (for pieces over $100)
  • 15% off if you would like the entire piece replaced 
Do you save leftover milk?

I will save your unused preserved breastmilk powder indefinitely after your order is completed. If you ever decide you want to place another order, I can use your preserved milk, even if its several years later!

I do NOT save leftover liquid breastmilk because if I did I would run out of space in my freezer! 

I would hate to waste any of your precious liquid gold, so please only send the amount needed for your order (which is 1 ounce for most orders) Please be aware I will dump out any leftover milk unless you specifically ask me to return it to you.
How much milk do you need?

Half an ounce (15ml) of breastmilk is enough to make several pieces of jewelry! Some items such as  beads require more milk powder. If you order one of these items I will ask that you send 1 ounce (30ml) of milk. 
Is my breastmilk too old to use?

It doesn't matter how old your milk is as long as it has been kept in a freezer! As long as the milk is not molding yet, I can use it!
Do I need to send an ice pack with my milk?

No, you do not need to send an ice pack with your milk. It will not mold during the time it is in transit to me. I will place it in my freezer when I receive it.
Can you use more than one milk sample in my piece?

I have options available that will accommodate 2 or more milk samples i you want them kept separate! I can also combine two or more milk samples in one stone! Please specify which of options you want when ordering.
How do I know you're using my milk and not someone else's?

It's a matter of trust with breastmilk keepsakes! I am very meticulous about keeping my orders organized so that I use the correct milk for each piece! As  soon as I receive your milk, I will ensure it is labeled with your name until I am ready to complete your order. Once your milk has been preserved, it will stay in a small Ziploc bag labeled with your name. I only make one order at a time as an extra precaution so that I use the correct milk!
What if I no longer have any milk saved?

No problem! If you no longer have milk or you just prefer not to use it, I can use a white powder additive or mica powder to mimic the look o breastmilk
How do I ship my milk to you?

1. Triple bag your milk in three breastmilk storage bags/Ziploc bags.

2. Write your name on the outside bag.

4. Take your milk to USPS or UPS and ship in a small bubble mailer.

PLEASE NOTE: You have 6 months from your order date to send your inclusions to me. If I do not receive your inclusions and do not hear from you within 6 months, your order will be cancelled without refund. Please reach out to me if you need more time due to unforeseen circumstances. 
How much does it cost to ship my milk to you?

If you ship according to my instructions above,the cost will be about $5 (within the United States)!
Will you ship to Canada/Australia/United Kingdom?

Yes, I do ship internationally! However, shipping to countries outside of the United States does incur a fee of $17. Please be sure to select international shipping when you order!
What is your turn around time?

My turn around time is currently 12 to 16 weeks from the date I receive your inclusions. Please note that turn around time does not begin until I receive your inclusions (breastmilk, hair, ashes etc).
Do you take custom design requests?

I am always open to creating custom pieces!

Will your jewelry turn my finger green?

Bee & Blossom Keepsakes offers the following metal types: sterling silver, gold plated sterling silver, solid gold or stainless steel. No, these metals will not turn your finger/neck/skin green! Mixed alloy metals are low quality and are known for turning your skin green, but Bee & Blossom Keepsakes does not offer this metal type.
Will my jewelry tarnish?

All non-solid gold jewelry will tarnish given enough time! However, you can greatly prolong the life of you piece/s by following the care instructions sent with your finished order! Below are the care instructions on the care card sent with each finished order! See "Jewelry Care Instructions" found  at the bottom of this page (as well on the Shop and Inclusions & Add-Ins pages). 
What if I don't know my ring size?

That's okay! You have two options: you can either get sized for free at local jewelry store or I can mail you a ring sizer at no cost to you! The ring sizer is easy to use, just wrap it around the finger you want to measure and read the size indicated by the arrow. The sizer measures all sizes from 1-17 in whole and half sizes. If you would like me to mail you a ring sizer, just add it to your cart before checking out (the ring sizer listing is in the Add-On Options section on the Shop page)!
Will gold plating come off?

If you plan to wear your piece frequently/every day, I highly recommend you choose sterling silver or white gold plated jewelry!

Gold plating will come off at some point and I cannot guarantee how long that will take--it could be a couple months or it could be 2 years. For this reason, I would only suggest considering rose gold or yellow gold plating for pieces you plan to wear occasionally.
Will my breastmilk stone turn yellow?

You may have heard that resin jewelry turns yellow over time. This is true, but there are steps you can take to prevent this from happening!

Your jewelry will be sealed with a special UV-resistant top coat to ensure your breastmilk stone retains its natural opaque white color! If your notice any yellowing/discoloration in your breastmilk stone, please reach out to me so I can make a new stone or piece to replace it!
How do I choose which add-ins I want?

Please refer to the "How To Order" page for detailed instructions for ordering, choosing add-ins and shipping! You may choose ONE add-in per item!
